Rehabilitation Facility Agrees to Settle EEOC Discrimination Suit

EEOC announced 7/13 that Alden Estates of Naperville, Inc. will pay $55,000 to settle a disability discrimination lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the agency announced today. EEOC’s suit had alleged that Alden fired its admissions director while she was out on a medical leave of absence, one week before she was able to return to work. Alden Estates of Naperville, Inc. provides transitional care and rehabilitation services to patients in the western suburbs of Chicago. (EEOC v. Alden Estates of Naperville, N.D. Ill.
