NAADAC Certifications

NAADAC offers two professional certifications for ADA coordinators and ADA professionals, launching at the November 2026 Annual Conference in New Orleans.

ADA Coordinator Professional (ADACP) — A foundational two-year credential for ADA coordinators at any career stage. Structured around NAADAC’s conference training and a Core webinar series. The right starting point if you are new to the role, building a comprehensive knowledge base, or seeking formal recognition of your ADA training.

Advanced ADA Coordinator (AADAC) — The first advanced-level credential in the field. Designed for experienced coordinators managing complex, institution-wide compliance programs. NAADAC Professional Associates are the founding AADAC cohort and may enroll directly.

Both programs build on NAADAC’s thirty years of practitioner-led training. The conference itself — same faculty, same peer community, same depth — continues exactly as it always has. Sessions are open to all registrants whether or not you are pursuing a credential.

Attending the November 2026 conference in New Orleans? Every session you attend earns credit — whether or not you have enrolled. You have until November 1, 2027 to formalize your ADACP enrollment and claim that credit retroactively.

Experienced Coordinator or Long-Time NAADAC Attendee?

Your years in this field matter. NAADAC Professional Associates: the new Advanced ADA Coordinator (AADAC) credential was designed with you in mind. Occasional attendees and experienced coordinators are equally welcome.

Advanced ADA Coordinator (AADAC)

The AADAC is the first advanced-level credential for ADA coordinators — the only one of its kind in the field. It is designed for experienced practitioners who have moved beyond foundational compliance work into institutional leadership: advising senior management, managing complex grievance programs, and representing their organizations in audits, enforcement actions, and litigation.

Not a more advanced version of the ADACP. A different credential for a different stage. AADAC sessions are small-cohort, applied workshops. They start from the assumption that everyone in the room already knows the law. You bring your real compliance challenges. The group works through them together.

Who Can Enroll in the AADAC?

NAADAC Professional Associates (PAs) are the founding AADAC cohort and may enroll directly — no ADACP required. The AADAC enrollment fee is permanently waived for PA holders who enroll by November 8, 2027. ADACP credential holders will be eligible to apply directly once the first ADACP credentials are issued in late 2027; the pathway will be published in advance of the November 2028 conference. Holders of the ADA Coordinator Certificate (ADACC) from adacoordinator.org may apply through a case-by-case evaluation process.
