Alyse Bass worked for over three decades as an Attorney at the United States Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, enforcing all aspects of the ADA.  She is the 2024 Recipient of the Divisions’ Macio Hubbard Award for sustained commitment to the Advancement of Civil Rights. 

For 33 years, Alyse investigated, litigated, and negotiated resolutions in employment discrimination cases related to hiring, termination, reasonable accommodation, retaliation and unlawful medical exams & inquiries.  She handled cases which made sure that hospitals, universities, hotels, and other businesses are physically accessible, offer equal access to services, and provide effective communication for people with disabilities. 

Alyse also led cases aimed at ensuring that people with disabilities have equal access to government services and programs including in the context of law enforcement, corrections and healthcare.

In April 2025 she founded Bass ADA Consulting, LLC to support employers, state & local governments, and businesses with ADA compliance.
